[CRUSH-all] Announcing robotics course for next semester

Next semester, starting January 8 2007, SSA will offer a credit class in robotics, that we have tentatively titled 

Exploring Topics in Engineering Through Robotics

I will be the instructor. A course description will be available soon, and I will distribute it via email.

I announced this during the CRUSH meeting yesterday, but for those that were not present, and also to be sure that parents were aware, I am repeating the information here. 

The course will be offered during 6th period. Mr Achilov worked with me and we chose that period because it opens the course to the largest number of the current robotics after school team. However, it is not open just to robotics team members. If you know students who would probably be interested, please encourage them to consider it. It is likely that the course will be approved for Computer Science credit, and if that is the case, it will allow some students who need CS credit next semester to take this class anyway. 

If you are interested, please meet with Mr. Achilov.

This has been a goal of the school and of mine for a couple of years, and I am excitied to finally get this opportunity.
