Bill,
I asked you in my last e-mail about team movement to and fro.
You stated that you asumed that the entire team would travel to and from all functions together with you when your ready. I asked these questions before but. apearantly was not clear about what I was asking. If my questons are still not clear maybe someone else reading this can translate.
On Thursday evening since only you and only a couple of those needed and alowed in the pit need be there ,until the First staff tells you to leave, the remaining team and mentors should be able to return to the motel to clean up and rest before dinner.
On Friday evening: If there is a social, non-esential team and mentors should be able to return to the motel, change and arrive at the social early enough to eat and mingle before they are putting the food away.
Yes, we can all travel to the comp. together in the A.M., but it should not be necessary for all to wait for two or more hours for a couple to finish in the pits.
We also should be mingling with the teams at social early before all others have already.
If you and Chris are the drivers and both need to be there from opening to closing the doors each day then there should be a third driver placed on the docket to shuttle
non-pit crew. The pit crew could return in the car.
It should not be required that all hang around waiting until 8 to leave the arena on Thurs. when only 3-4 persons will be aqble to be in the pit!!
On Friday it is essential that some arrive at social early enough to mingle.

Hi team
We have finally finalized the trip arrangements and costs for Las Vegas. We have arranged the vehicle capacity carefully so that people who want to travel separately from the team can do so without creating confusion or unfairness around the transportation costs. Said another way, if you've told me you're planning to travel with the team, or if you've told me you're planning to travel by other means, we've taken that into account and I'm expecting you to stick with that decision.
As with our Phoenix trip, all meals, lodging, and transportation (except those not using team transportation) are included. You don't need to bring extra money unless you want to for your own purchases.
Trip cost is $250 per person including transportation, or $200 per person without transportation. The cost is higher than Phoenix because of the extra hotel day, extra meals, more gas, etc. For students, CRUSH $ may be applied at $1.75 per hour, requiring 143 hours. Students used 103 hours on the Phoenix trip, so if you have (in total) less than 246 hours, you will owe some money. To figure what you owe, take the number of hours you have, subtract it from 246, and multiply the difference by $1.75, limited to a maximum of $250.
Please pay by check not later than Monday unless you've made other arrangements with me. The check should be payable to Sonoran Science Academy and given to Bill.
Meeting update:
We'll meet for a "fix-it" period from 2-7 Sunday, and again from 3-8 Monday. Tuesday we meet at 3 to load the trailer. This should only take a couple hours. Wednesday we leave at 8 am. We'll return to SSA late Sunday. Complete details will be distributed on Sunday or Monday.
The software team made some great progress today. We now have autonmous modes that track the green light and drive to shooting position. It's very cool to watch.
Bill
