Hello CRUSH students, parents, mentors and supporters:

This morning 4 CRUSH students-James, Jason, Joe and Tiffany, went to the
Tucson Convention Center and demonstrated the robots-Adil and Ziggy. We were
invited to be a part of a breakfast roundtable where there were 60 people in
attendance.

The students were introduced to these local business leaders and Bill
Bennett spoke about CRUSH to the group.

The students had a chance to show off their robots and had a fun time doing
so.

At times, Adil got a little carried away and went racing down the hallways
of the convention center. After a loud kaboom, he was back under control and
he backed up quickly to his base.

Then we were invited to the Chamber of Commerce State of Education Luncheon
for this afternoon. This was a group of 300 people and the team did a very
good job of explaining CRUSH and gaining valuable exposure for the team and
the school. The purpose of the luncheon was to raise funds for college
scholarships for junior and senior high school students. We were the sole
entertainment {and I mean ENTERTAINMENT} for both events. They even let me
drive :] I guess it was a little scary for some. How can someone be scared
of a robot??? I still don't understand that one..

Much fun was had and the students did a great job of explaining the robotics
team to the attendees. Some pictures will follow soon.

As always, thank you for your support of CRUSH 1011.
