[CRUSH-all] Our own Team CRUSH 1011 competing this weekend in Phoenix

Hi All

Our amazing robot team will be competing this weekend in Phoenix 
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The competition is open to the public, 
free except for parking (usually $8 or $10). We would love to have a big 
cheering section for Team CRUSH.

The agenda is attached. Thursday is a practice day, the matches don't 
count. Friday all day and the first half of the day Saturday we play 
qualification matches. The best qualifying teams go into the playoffs 
Saturday afternoon. We'll be there too!

For a taste of what to expect, watch some of the games played in other 
regional competitions last weekends. Videos can be accessed at

We are arranging transportation to the competition on Saturday for 
students and parents that prefer not to drive. We'll leave from the 
school at 7 AM and return around 6 PM. The cost is $20 per person to 
cover van rental, gas, and lunch. You must sign up through Miss Pat at 
the front desk. Parents can call her at 665-3400 x205 to reserve a spot 
on the list. Thursday is the last day to get on the list since we must 
confirm the number of vans and drivers needed.

If you want to drive yourself, here are directions: take I-10 to 
Phoenix, take exit 143C, 19th Ave, towards US 60. Turn right on 19th Ave 
and right on W. McDowell Road. Go to 1826 W McDowell at 17th Ave. Turn 
left (north) on 17th which is the entrance to the parking lot.
