[CRUSH-build] task list and schedule

Hi Builders

Less than three weeks to go! I think we're doing pretty well, with a chance, for the first time in CRUSH history, of having a running robot with complete (if buggy) function at the 4 week point. That will be very cool if we can pull it off. That time comes this weekend, Sunday Feb 5, and I know we're all pushing hard to make that goal. This will give us two weeks for:
a.. getting software working on real hardware
b.. time to work the bugs out of the hardware (there will certainly be many)
  c.. tune/tweak performance
d.. provide time for all the little stuff we're tempted to forget or not do (sponsor logos, paint, slick OI, etc)
e.. lastly, importanly, some time for driver training and practice
To help us keep the focus and stay on the timeline we have, and following the practice of last year, I am starting to maintain a task list which I'll post on the web and in the shop with updates more or less daily. It is approximately organized across the four main subteams: chassis, shooter, collector, software. Any team members can give me items to put on the list for any area. If we all try to think of and record tasks as we become aware of them, it will lessen the chance of things falling through the cracks. Send me email or give it to me on paper.

I am requesting team members to use the task list to help know what to do when you arrive at the shop each day. This is not meant to divert your attention from other things you're doing that you know to be important, but rather to help answer the daily question "what's going on, what should I help with" when you're not sure what to do. The current list will always be on the web in the same place: http://crush1011.org/taskschedule.html. View it there or the paper copy that will be posted in the shop.

We're smokin' !!

See you in the shop.

Bill
