To all Mentors,

I've been doing some calculating and find that using two sheets of 1/8"
Acrylic w/ stiffeners
would weigh 9.1245 pounds.

If we use 1/4" mahogany plywood for the electronics board and clear 1/8"
acrylic for the front protector the weight would be 7.6975 pounds.

1/4"plywood would be stronger then 1/8"acrylic.

The plywood would have a better ability to give with shock and not break or
crack as easily as the acrylic, for the electronics.

The 1/4" plywood would have it's own ability to absorb shock and vibration
instead of the electronics.

This switch would save us 1.427pounds and give the electronics board a built
in shock absorbency.

What are your thoughts on this possibility?
